NaNoWriMo calendar

ical.pngI’m doing National Novel Writing Month this coming November. I’ve done it before, in 2003 I finished. I attempted last year, but was traveling in Singapore and found it hard to concentrate while seeing new sites and tasting new tastes. Plus, there was this mildly distracting election thing going on during which the future of our country was at stake. Don’t quite remember what happened with that one….

Anyhow, I relied on a little calendar I made for myself in iCal, and figured other people might be able to use it as well. It lists a minimum of words needed each day to stay on track (which I rounded up to 1700 to keep the numbers even, and hopefully keep slightly ahead of the game). On the 30th of November it will give you a pop-up message to remind you to submit your masterpiece.

You can use it on your PC with any program that takes iCalendar formatted docs (see more about that on Wikipedia), including of course iCal on the marvelous Macintosh.

I hope you find it useful—drop a comment and let me know!
