project greenlight 3 (update #3)

I just sent Martin the last of the first draft scenes. This means we now have, after one week, a complete draft. I'm sure it's a little ugly (we haven't put the whole thing together yet), but that's what the next four days are for. I'm totally amazed by what we were able to achieve in such a short time, and I hope we get a chance to amaze other people with the final result.

Now, if we can just figure out a little something I like to call "The Great Clock Controversy of 2004"...

Where we saw it: project greenlight | We deign to rate it: outta 100

Like a Dali painting, clocks melting around me, filling me with ennui and (to be frank) a bit of thirst....

For those of you who don't know, there's this clock tower in our script, and this guy is hanging off the minute hand. Kza says we should have it be 2:30, but I say it MUST be 5:20. Anything else would be artistic suicide.

Maybe the rest of you can chime in...

23, dude! Do I have to draw you a frickin' diagram?

And, lo, a truce was declared in the Great Clock Controversy of 2004. It was decided by Kza and Martin that THERE WOULD BE NO CLOCK.

I can only say, it's about time that there is no time. Thank you to the support staff, the intervention counslers and the conflict managers who walked us through this moment. The call from ex President Clinton was most inspiring, and allowed me to put aside the history of anger from my Scottish blood, and relate to KZA on a more human level.

Kent: I hope we don't end up together in the final heat as I really like how you write (and Martin's too). Go fuck myself twice and see me on Sunday. I have no chance now, but all the same, I hope to see you guys at the finalists ball, eh?

Er, um, if it's the Martin I'm thinking of, from Cinemarati. Oh my God I might be so embarassed.

Hey Dan! So you're sending in something as well, huh? Cool! Good luck! Hopefully, you've spent more than 11 days working on your script. :-)

Oh, and I'm afraid Martin, in this case, is the guy behind "No Matter. Try Again. Fail Again. Fail Better", accessible in the links sections. He's never posted to Cinemarati, unless he's living a double life. Who were you thinking of?

Oh, was it Low IQ Canadian? He *is* a good writer. Very funny, too.
