Posted by: Steve at November 29, 2005 08:02 AMPlease, sirs, let me in on your in-joke! I am so lost and confused. :-(
(My friend's girlfriend actually cried during this movie. Seriously. We had no idea what she was going on about. Then my friend gave her a handkerchief to wipe her eyes and she inspected the 'kerchief - in the dark - and flicked it back at him. She is not a true cin-e-aste in our opinion.)
Posted by: Matt at December 5, 2005 01:13 PMWell, I'll come clean -- although this internet joke/meme/thing has been around for over a year (I believe), I wasn't clued-in until Nov. 20th's "Family Guy". And, like Steve, once it gets into my head, it's very hard to dislodge.
Anyway, Google "Peanut Butter Jelly Time" and curse my name.
(Cried? Did she think Johnny would never reform and get June?)
Posted by: Kza at December 5, 2005 03:13 PMOh ... my ... God .... I guess they would call that an earworm. I'll have to listen to "Kashmir" for hours just to get it out of my head.
And I saw it: she was crying. I think someone she dated in the past was a pill addict with a name like Leaf or Thunder who sang country music. Or maybe she's crazy. (Who knows?)
Posted by: Matt at December 6, 2005 03:46 PMSo 'I walk the line' is rubbish then is that the view from across the pond?
I hadn't held out much hope after seeing the preview. Has anyone seen the Hank Williams bio-pic 'Your cheatin' heart' with George Hamilton? It's not very good either...
I have seen "Walk the Line" several times already and I am very impressed. I cannot think of any other actor that could have pulled it off like Joaquin did. Learning to sing, play guitar and to have to fill the big shoes of the "one and only" Johnny Cash is not easy. Great job Joaquin! Alot of hard work went into doing the movie and we won't forget it. The story itself, had us feeling what the real Johnny Cash went thru and took us on a great journey!
